The agreement signed between Embrapa (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) and Visiona Tecnologia Espacial (Visiona Spatial Technology) last Friday (12/07/2018) promises to cause a great advance in the production techniques of agriculture!
The partnership seeks to develop computerized systems allied to spatial technology, in order to provide smart services for agriculture.
Visiona is a company that is dedicated to the development of spatial systems, and is currently working on the first satellite produced by the national industry, the VCUB. This satellite will be equipped with a high-resolution camera and radiometric quality, and will be able to collect data of field sensors, contributing to the agricultural and environment protection markets.
Embrapa will be responsible for introducing knowledge and technologies in agriculture, geotechnology and automation in these systems, developing codes and algorithms specialized in the processing and treatment of spatial images.
The cooperation between the organizations will also enable the study of the viability of joint action using other spatial technologies, with the development of effective and advanced solutions. The use of these satellites, sensors and apps have allowed a better performance and also contributes to the increase of socioeconomic and environmental sustainability of the agricultural sector.
Have ever you imagined how this technology can revolutionize the mapping and monitoring of agricultural, and livestock production areas? The areas of conservation and environmental ecosystems will not be out of it, also being contemplated by this innovation.
